Prawns with Coconut



Prawns with Coconut are served as appetizers and will go down well at any party or celebratory meal. 



INGREDIENTS:

Prawns------------------------------------ 500gm
Coconut(Grated)------------------------ 1Cup
Green Chilly Paste---------------------- 1tbsp
Black Cumin Seeds----- ---------------- 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder------------------------ 1tsp
Black Mustard Paste-------------------- 11/2tbsp
Mustard Oil------------------------------- 6tbsp
Red Chilly Powder----------------------- 1/2tsp
Salt----------------------------------------- to taste

METHOD:

1. Remove shells from prawns, but leave the tails on for easier cooking and eating.


2. Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and 1/2 tsp salt and leave aside for 10 minutes.

3. Pour 3tbsp of mustard oil in a frying pan, let it heat.

4. When oil is ready fry the prawns in it , take them out and place on a tissue paper.

5. Now in another pan pour 3tbsp of oil and when it becomes hot add black cumin seeds to it.

6. When it starts crackling then add grated coconut, black mustard paste, green chilly paste, rest of the    turmeric powder to it.

7. Let  them fry for 2 minutes.

8. Now add 1/2 cup of water and previously fried prawns in it.

9. Cook for 5-7 minutes and turn off the heat.

10. Serve hot.
