Butter Chicken (Murgh Makhani)

It is part of Indian cuisine and Pakistani cuisine, popular in countries all over the world. 
This is basically a Punjabi dish which tastes really very good. 
It is usually served with naan, tandoori roti, paranthas or steamed rice. 
This dish has got a lot of gravy and is very rich & creamy, and tastes awesome! Let us see how to make it :


Ingredients: 

Chicken------------------------------------------------- 500gm  
Tomatoes----------------------------------------------- 1 cup 
Ginger Paste------------------------------------------- 1 tbsp 
Garlic Paste-------------------------------------------- 1 tbsp 
Cream--------------------------------------------------- 1 1/2 cup
Curd----------------------------------------------------- 2tbsp
Red Chilly Powder------------------------------------ 1/2 tsp 
Butter--------------------------------------------------- 2 tbsp
Coriander Powder------------------------------------- 1 tbsp 
Raisins-------------------------------------------------- 1 tbsp 
Salt------------------------------------------------------ to taste 

Method for Butter Chicken 


1. Place Tomatoes, Ginger Paste, Garlic Paste, Cream, Curd, Red Chilly Powder and Salt  in a bowl and blend them together thoroughly. 

2. Take a thick based pan and put the puree in it.Add the Chicken. 

3. When the boiling starts add butter, put the gas on low flame and cover the lid. 

4. Keep stirring in the intervals of 4-5 minutes and let it cook for 15- 20 minutes. 

5. When the Chicken gets soft and gravy gets thick add raisins and coriander powder,cook for 2-3 minutes and turn off the heat. 

6. Serve the delicious Butter Chicken / Murgh Makhani hot with Naan.
